Sunshine, pool time, field trips, family vacations…it just doesn’t get any better than summer 😊 !
The last day of school is always a celebration in our house and we love it kick it off in special ways!
The following is a list of Last Day of School Traditions our family does to start the summer off right! I encourage your family to try a few ideas and start the summer off on a positive direction!
- Balloon surprise in the morning
2. Special pancake breakfast
3. Pray with your child! (pray that they have a good last day, pray for a safe summer ahead, and pray for the teacher too as they say their tearful goodbyes to their family of students!!)
4. First Day of School/ Last Day of School side by side picture with sign
5. Have your child wear a special shirt for milestone years like Kindergarten!
6. Walk them to school
7. Special gift for the teacher
8. Pick them up from school with fun summer accessories!
9. Have a fun after school snack for them on the ride/ walk back home (we love Freezy Pops!)
10. Special after school SURPRISE on the porch…sand pails filled with summer goodies!
11. Have their summer bucket list ready to begin!
12. Picnic in the park for lunch
13. Visit the local pool or have a water play afternoon in your backyard
14. Go out for a special dinner
15. Last Day of School Interview (Video and Picture with Questions!)
16. Picture with future graduation shirt
17. Special good night story…The Night Before Summer Vacation
