The Cast of Characters…

Ingredients for the fruit salad
Ingredients for the honey lime syrup
  • 20 oz can pineapple chunks
  • 10 oz jar maraschino cherries, or more to your taste!
  • 1 lb green grapes (use as many as you would like for the amount of people you are serving!)
  • 15 oz can mandarin oranges
  • Juice of 1 lime & lime zest to taste
  • 2 Tbsp honey

Instructions

  1. In a colander, rinse and pat dry pineapple, cherries, and grapes.
  2. Combine first 3 fruits in a serving bowl (the oranges easily fall apart, so save those to mix in until the end!)
  3. In a separate dish, mix honey and the juice of one lime
  4. Mix until the honey is completely dissolved in the lime juice
  5. Add the mandarin oranges to the first three fruits (the oranges fall apart easily, so gently stir in with other fruits)
  6. Pour the lime syrup over the fruit
  7. Gently mix to combine
  8. If you like lots of syrup with your fruit, keep as is…if you don’t like the fruit floating in syrup, drain out excess syrup in a colander
  9. Zest half of a lime over the fruit salad before serving
  10. Enjoy!
