Tasty Tacos...in the Crock Pot! (Two Minute Prep and NO Browning First!)

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs Lean or Extra Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Salsa I use mild to allow for all to enjoy. You can up the spice factor afterwards with additional toppings and sauces
  • 4 tbsp Taco Seasoning I use Ortega because it's delicious and fast. You can make your own taco seasoning if you have time!

Instructions
 

  • Spray crock pot with nonstick cooking spray
  • Place ground beef in the crock pot...do not break up the meat. Just take it out of the package and place in the crock pot!
  • Pour the salsa on top of the meat
  • Sprinkle taco seasoning on top of salsa
  • No need to mix anything at this point...let the crock pot do the magic!
  • For best results, cover and cook on LOW until the meat is cooked (no pink), about 8-10 hours depending on your crock pot
  • 40 minutes before serving, break up the meat with a large spoon and mix everything together
  • 20 minutes before serving, give the meat another stir in the crock pot with a large spoon to ensure everything is well mixed together!
  • Serve the meat hot on taco shells
  • Add toppings of your choice!
  • Enjoy! You may or may not have leftovers!

Notes

Our favorite toppings include:
Salsa, diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, sour cream, shredded cheese, queso, and hot sauce!
